Brazil’s Sofa Digital bought Latin America. Busch Media Group took Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Kinologistika acquired CIS rights. Tokyo’s Aya Pro licensed Japan, Mumbai’s PictureWorks India took India, and Scene & Sound picked up South Korea.
Emir Duzel, Deep Com Roots head of international sales, said the company attended Cannes Market for the first time and met strong buyer interest, with “Summer Days” among the titles drawing the most attention. Negotiations for further territories are continuing, he told Variety.
The film follows college students Juan (Pau Simón) and Gabriela (Berta Galo) at a beachside chalet, before Juan’s father Fernando (Roberto Álamo) arrives with younger girlfriend Monica (Maggie Civantos of “Locked Up”). Feelings between Juan and Monica escalate amid family resentment and attraction. It is based on a David Sueiro screenplay that won ISII’s Break on Time ’59 competition in 2024 and marks Chema del Prado’s return to fiction.

Rueda plays Sara Lanes, a dancer and choreographer in Paris who returns to Madrid when famed flamenco school Amor de Dios faces closure, hoping to save the place where her career began. The project draws on an original idea by Carlos Saura.
